We’re excited to share that the William Collyn Centre Book Exchange is now up and running – and it’s already proving popular with visitors who have been coming in to swap books this week!
This new addition to the Centre has been made possible thanks to a generous initial donation from the estate of Morag Styles. Her son Ross told us how important reading was to her throughout her life and academic career, and how much she wanted to inspire others to enjoy it too. We’re delighted that her books are now part of this community project, continuing her mission to encourage reading for pleasure.
How it works:
- You can take up to three books at a time.
- Once you’ve finished, simply return them or replace them with other books.
This way, the selection will always stay fresh and interesting, with plenty of choices for everyone.
We’d love to see the Book Exchange continue to grow, so if you have books at home that you’d like to pass on, we would be very grateful for your donations. All genres are welcome, but we are especially looking for children’s and young adult titles.
If you’re having a clear out, please get in touch on 0782 487 5330 – we can even arrange collection if needed.
We hope the Book Exchange will give even more local residents a reason to drop by the William Collyn Centre. Whether you’re stopping in to browse the shelves, swap a book, or simply enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, this is a great way to connect with others in the community.
