Classes consist of 40 minutes of choreographed cardio and 20 minutes of toning.

It’s high intensity, yet low impact and suitable for all ages, gender and fitness abilities.

It’s 3 times more effective than floor based workouts due to the gravitational pull.

Burn calories and lose weight while gaining friends and improving your fitness level.

Burning around 700 calories each session, 10 minutes at ((BOUNCE)) is the same as a 30 minute run.

BRINGING A NIGHT OUT TO YOUR WORKOUT!

Easton Swing is a popular form of swing dancing. It is an adaptable dance and can be danced to a variety of musical styles and genres. In addition, the dance itself creates room for improvisation and interaction between the partners.

Join Lee as he leads our Tuesday evening session of West Coast Swing dancing. Whether you’re a beginner or an improver there’s something for everyone.

A local society, affiliated to the Royal Horticultural Society, for people interested in all aspects of gardening. Whether you have a tiny garden with a few pots or an extensive garden with a vegetable plot, fruit trees, herbaceous  borders and immaculate lawns we can provide something of interest for you.

Usually we have a guest speaker and the talks are always advertised in GPN. We have a break for tea and coffee and a raffle.

Members are encouraged to donate spare plants to a ‘bring and buy sale’ each month.

Newsletters include topical information about local events, open gardens, trips being run by other local garden societies and so on.

Little City is an entirely mobile role play City for the under 5’s to explore, discover and enjoy. Utilising bespoke backdrops and specially selected high-quality toys and equipment, your child can fully immerse themselves in their own world.

Our children are our biggest observers: they have watched us as adults go to the supermarket, post letters in the Post Office and style our hair. At Little City they can ‘be’ grown ups: where nothing is off limits, they can be the hairdresser, the mechanic, the builder, the café owner and much, much more.

Music group for parents, carers and their pre-schoolers.

Playing a mixture of familiar and lesser known songs on real instruments while you and your baby/child sing along! We try to get you up and moving at least once a session giving you a chance to learn and try out some dance moves with your child – it could be anything from jigs to jives! The music is for you too and you can expect to hear anything from Bowie to Baroque and from Chopin to Chas n Dave! We love it all and hope you will too! The idea is that you enjoy the music and then hopefully your child will too!

Sessions are held every week excluding the second Friday of each month and school holidays.

Tiny toes ballet is the only pre-school ballet programme in the UK that is fully integrated with the EYFS curriculum, having been founded and developed by not only a Professionally trained Classical Ballet Dancer and Qualified Ballet teacher but also a highly experienced Primary School Teacher.

Whole Notes Gospel Choir is a new choir for Cambridge and the surrounding villages.

Meeting weekly at 8.00pm until around 9.30pm at the William Collyn Community Centre, Wellbrook Way, Girton.

We are looking for enthusiastic new members of all voice types. While it is helpful to be able to read music and hit the right notes, no formal music or singing experience is needed.

We will be singing traditional and non-traditional gospel music and inspirational and uplifting songs in keeping with the Christian faith.

Hi, we (Promila, Dharambir Dhillon and Geeta Dhull) are teaching Beginners Yoga, Hatha yoga (Cleansing, Postures-Asanas, Breathing, Practices leading to Meditation, Yoga Nidra-Psychic Sleep),  Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow yoga and Pranayama-Meditation in and around Cambridge-UK. We have done multiple courses from National Institute of Yoga-New Delhi and 200 Hrs Yoga Alliance TTC as well.

We believe yoga is not limited to mere postures at physical level and is not just body bending business, it is overall development at physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level and taking fully charge of yourself.

Open (Free to attend) event for Girton residents Refreshments and afternoon tea included.

Girton Town Charity is delighted to host a Tea Dance at the William Collyn Community Centre in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Youlie and David Pullinger are award winning dancers
and highly regarded instructors and we are fortunate to have them introduce and compere the dances.

Dances will include something for everyone of any ability from Waltz, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha and Quickstep to Sequence and Line dances, Jive and an Argentine Tango.

During the Refreshment interval Youlie and David will perform a presentation dance.

Spaces are limited so call 01223 279587 to reserve your place or visit the William Collyn Community Centre to collect your ticket.

This event is supported by Girton Town Charity and free to attend.
